Now? They LOVE LOVE LOVE Pokemon cards. Love them. Can't stop talking about them. Want to buy more. Spend hours going through each card, telling us how much power and how many lives each one has. Take them to camp and after school to trade and discuss.
This is our house, every day, before and after school.
It is the best thing... and also THE WORST THING. Inevitably, the cards lead to bickering. Arguing about cards. Then we tell them to put the cards away.
At least it is a quiet toy this time, and there is no hair pulling or hitting.

What is the deal with Pokemon? Is it just collector's cards? Is it a game? Is it complex? Should I avoid them at all costs?
Google just informed me that Pokemon stands for Pocket Monsters. So many possible jokes!
I knew both my kids were healthy again last week when they started fighting again. *sigh*
Nathan is really into cards and trading them at school. They really can't trade them at school, but I see him and some other kids sneak a card here and there before school starts. LOL. Nathan loves Pokemon, Skylander and the most popular at school are the Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. I can remember my love for Garbage Pail Kids.
OMG -- The BICKERING! That right there is one of the reasons I give a side-eye to people with only one child who complain about ANYTHING. If you are not dealing with multiple rounds of "Noooo! Miiiiine! Give it back!! He took that from me!!! SHARE! SHARE!!!" all day long, then you not not from parenting, chick. Shut it.
My son went through a Pokemon stage too. Those were good days. So easy to buy birthday/Christmas presents, and it provided hours of quiet distraction.
Interesting how early the bickering starts. I hope my babies' beating of each other isn't a preview of things to come.
Gage isn't the least bit interested in Pokemon.
I suppose I should be thankful????
