A serious, utter failure on my part

Fart jokes? My boys think they're funny.

Poop jokes? My boys think they're funny.

Unexpected vomit? My boys.... NOT FUNNY, as I learned as we watched Pitch Perfect together last night. First puke scene? I got ready for them to laugh hysterically. Instead, Nate covered his face in horror. Alex covered his ears and shut his eyes and said he was going to have nightmares.

So I did what any Mother of the Year 2013 would do. Knowing there was an even bigger, better puke scene coming, I got my phone camera ready to capture their reactions.

(note Alex's eyes are closed)

Movie

(Alex started saying "Tell me when it is over!")

Movie

I had no idea I've failed to make puke funny. A failure I hope to correct, soon.

I love you. And your boys. That is all.

I'll make sure to tell the boys about the day Michael puked on me while I was taking him into the doctors office. I had strawberry milk puke from the ends of my hair to the tips of my toes. Now that it's over, it's hysterical!

Ummm, I hate to bust your bubble, friend, but your boys are the normal ones in this scenario. There is nothing funny about puke. Or any bodily fluid, for that matter. Gross, gross and gross. I would have been doing the same thing they're doing in those photos.

I don't think puke is funny either. My reaction is the same as Alex's. But I do think you would be doing them a service if you could make it funny. I'd rather laugh than be forced to look away lest I vomit myself.

While I sympathize with them, those pictures definitely made me laugh!

The horrified look on Nate's face is priceless. This post brought me a much needed laugh. Awesome.
